Add a healthy dose of delight to any new game using Windows Azure Mobile Services. PLUS, score an additional 600 XP bonus (1500 XP in total) if you provide feedback about Windows Azure after running with the service for 60 days.
By taking this challenge you’ll discover how it can take just minutes to get up and running with slick new features in your WP games, such as push notifications, user authentication, and leaderboards.
You must create a new Windows Phone 8 game that uses at least one Windows Azure Mobile Services capability such as push notifications, user authentication, structured storage, or leaderboards. A full list of Windows Azure Mobile Services features and capabilities can be found here, you can use any one to qualify for this Challenge.
The features must be supported by a standard or premium Windows Azure Mobile Services Pricing Tier subscription. (Please note that the free pricing tier and the free Windows Azure trial do not qualify.)
When submitting your game keep your Windows Azure subscription ID associated with the Mobile Services handy, as you’ll receive a message requesting it — just keep an eye on your inbox.
Earn 600 XP bonusIf you’re still using the Windows Azure subscription 60 days after your game is approved for this challenge, you’ll have the opportunity to provide feedback for an XP bonus. A short survey link will be emailed to you – complete the survey and the DVLUP fremlins will get 600 XP added to your account.
For your game to be considered NEW it must be first published on the Windows Phone Store after the Challenge’s start date but before the Challenge’s end date.
In addition your game must:
- Employ Fast App Switching.
- Include all three sizes of Live Tiles.
- Follow the Windows Phone Design Language.
- Support ALL Windows Phone 8 screen resolutions.
You may submit one game to this challenge.
Games submitted to this challenge and awarded XP will not be accepted for any other App or Game challenge, but can be resubmitted for Update and Quality challenges.
Please remember to allow time for your game to be published in Windows Phone Store and show on DVLUP.com. You are responsible for ensuring that your game is submitted on time.
